Since it’s founding in 1982, SAMTY Group has expanded its business centered on real estate development and real estate leasing business, going beyond the conventional business framework as a real estate developer. In 2015 we entered the REIT business to strengthen asset management and establish a stable earnings base, driving steady expansion for SAMTY Residential Investment Corporation (SRR).

We expect robust demand for real estate to continue for the present. At the same time, however, to prepare for changes in the market environment and further strengthen our business foundation, in September 2019 we formulated the SAMTY Toughening Plan, a new medium-term management plan aimed at achieving stable growth. The main theme of this plan is a shift in management emphasis from cash flow to the balance sheet.

The plan comprises three main strategies. The first is to “strengthen and expand fee-based income businesses,” through which we aim to develop the management business centered on SRR. The second is to “strengthen hotel and office building development,” taking advantage of greater hotel demand with the increase in foreign tourists to Japan, and increased profitability from office space due to declining vacancy rates in major cities. The third strategy is to “strengthen the financial base,” which will be the result of these measures.

SAMTY Group will make a concerted effort to steadily achieve the SAMTY Toughening Plan, and contribute to society by creating rich urban environments. We appreciate your continued support.

The first step in global expansion
SAMTY opened an overseas branch for the first time after 37 years since its founding in 1982. That is SAMTY ASIA INVESTMENTS.

Utilizing the safe, secure, and comfortable housing development technology that the SAMTY Group has cultivated over many years, we will contribute to the further growth of the SAMTY Group by expanding it globally, mainly in the Asia-Oceania region. We have recently entered into a large-scale development in Vietnam as a joint venture with a major local company and will continue to grow in collaboration with companies in each country.
